HKCT has taken on the former government evening school courses since 2003 and has been recognised as an Approved Course Provider under the ‘Financial Assistance Scheme for Designated Evening Adult Education Courses’ starting from 2005. HKCT Adult Education Centre currently offers an opportunity for the eligible students to further their studies and hence to obtain the recognised qualification for continuous education and employment purposes, by providing Diploma Yi Jin (Part-time mode) programme, subsidised evening adult education courses and English language courses..
The programme is recognised by the government. HKCT provides the service in helping to apply to sit the HKDSE on behalf of the students. The qualification obtained by graduates of the programme is deemed comparable to the attainment of Level 2 in five subjects (including Chinese Language and English Language) in the HKDSE.
The government-subsidised courses suit people of various education levels from Form 1 to Form 6. The curricula is designed according to the relevant frameworks set out by the Education Bureau and is recognised by the HKSAR government. The courses present students to sit for the HKDSE examinations which greatly boost students’ education and career prospects.
