Contents

This programme is conferred by Leeds Beckett University, UK. Health and safety is an integral and important part of any organization – whether you work as an operations manager, office manager, engineer or technician, you will be involved with ensuring a safe working environment for everyone. We will develop your knowledge of how different organisations use varying levels of safety procedures and you will assess their impact on the whole company. This is also a path towards becoming a professional Registered Safety Officer (RSO).

Students have to complete 6 taught modules in 3 semesters, the standard length of study is 12 months.

  • Professional Practice and Development 

Semester Three 

  • Quantitative Risk Analysis
  • Sensible Risk Management 

Assessment

Mode of Delivery 
Each taught module consists of face-to-face lectures and tutorials. All classes are scheduled on weekday evenings, Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Entry Requirements
  • Applicants who either have at least a second class honours degree in any discipline with evidence of an aptitude for health and safety or have equivalent experience or training, normally from the work environment.
  • The English requirement for this course is IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5 or a pass in HKCT English Test or equivalent.
  • Applicants who do not satisfy the above entry requirements may be admitted at the discretion of the University through an interview and assessment by a committee.

Total $56,000 (in 3 installments)

1st two instalments $19,000 and 3rd instalment $18,000

Administration Fee: HK$1,500 (Upon 1st instalment)

HKCT Alumni Fee Reduction

  • HKCT former student who has completed a one year programme or above is eligible.
  • 5% of total tuition fee reduction (max $1,000) will be made in the last instalment of tuition fee payment.

Early Bird Discount

  • Application submitted on or before 31 July 2020 is eligible.
  • The reduction is $2,000 and will be made in the last instalment of tuition fee payment.
