The training course aims to address the latest HKAR‑183 amendment related to the designation of persons to act as representatives of the Director‑General in examining, inspecting, and testing aircraft for the purpose of issuing aircraft reports, thereby enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of airworthiness management.

Upon completion of the training course, participants will be familiar with:

  • Overview of HKAR‑183 requirements
  • ODA application process
  • Mandatory training requirements for ODA applicants
  • Aircraft certification process
  • Roles and responsibilities of the operator/owner in the aircraft delivery process
Programme Contents

Programme Features

HKAR‑183, which was first published on 21 March 2012 and last amended on 8 September 2017, aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of airworthiness management by approving persons to carry out airworthiness‑related activities. This 3‑day course covers the following subjects:

Students who successfully complete the course with an attendance rate of 90% or above will be awarded a completion certificate issued by the HKCT Institute of Higher Education (CTIHE).
